nowaste is a simple solution to the problem of lack of space and money. For many small apartments and studios there is simply not enough room for a dining table and chairs - this set of furniture, designed with student accommodation in mind, can be folded away for flat storage when not in use.
It is also extremely cost efficient to produce, as the pieces for assembly are sized so that they can be cut out of a standard sheet – 2.4m x 1.2m – of any board material, with almost no waste. Thus a table 2.1m x 0.9m, and its supporting trestle, can be cut and assembled from one sheet, while a set of six folding chairs can be cut and assembled from another single sheet.
The only extraneous material used in the assembly, apart from screws and bolts, is a tie-rope to hold the trestle from spreading.
